چکیده

The infra-red fixed points are determined for all the parameters of the MSSM. They dominate the renormalisation group running when the top-Yukawa is in the quasi-fixed point regime (i.e. large at the GUT scale). We examine this behaviour analytically, by solving the full set of one-loop renormalisation group equations in the approximation that the electroweak contributions are negligible, and also numerically. We find the quasi-fixed points for the top-quark trilinear couplings; A U α3 = A U 3α = −0.59m g independently of the input parameters at the unification scale. All the remaining parameters are significantly focused towards their true fixed points at the weak scale. We examine how this increases the predictivity of the MSSM in this regime.

We consider the infrared quasi fixed point solutions of the renormalization group equations for the Yukawa couplings and soft supersymmetry breaking parameters in the MSSM in the large tan β regime. The existence of IR quasi fixed points together with the values of gauge couplings, third generation quarks, lepton and Z-boson masses allows one to predict masses of the Higgs bosons and SUSY parti...

String Gauge Unification and Infra - red Fixed Points in MSSM + X Models

In order to achieve gauge unification at the string scale M X ∼ 5 × 10 17 GeV in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) it is necessary to add extra gauge non-singlet representations at an intermediate scale M I < M X , leading to a class of models which we refer to as MSSM+X models. We perform a detailed analysis of a large class of MSSM+X models and find that the number of (3,1) rep...

Quasi-Fixed Points and Charge and Colour Breaking in Low Scale Models

We show that the current LEP2 lower bound upon the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) lightest Higgs mass rules out quasi-fixed scenarios for string scales between 10 and 10 GeV unless the heaviest stop mass is more than 2 TeV. We consider the implications of the low string scale for charge and colour breaking (CCB) bounds in the MSSM, and demonstrate that CCB bounds from F and D-flat...

We show that the current LEP2 lower bound upon the MSSM lightest Higgs mass rules out quasi-fixed scenarios for string scales between 10 6 and 10 14 GeV for a central top quark mass. We consider the implications of the low string scale for charge and colour breaking (CCB) bounds in the MSSM, and demonstrate that CCB bounds from F and D-flat directions are significantly weakened. We show that the current LEP2 lower bound upon the benchmark MSSM lightest Higgs mass rules out quasi-fixed scenarios for string scales between 10 8 and 10 14 GeV. We consider the implications for charge and colour breaking (CCB) bounds in the MSSM, and demonstrate that CCB bounds from F and D-flat directions are significantly weakened. For scales less than 10 10 GeV these bounds become merely ...
